it's an odd sensation, finding my way around the new stuff that's been added to dA since i last visited. i feel like a completely different person. can i just leap right back into the fray and go trigger-happy like before?

i'm not sure.

the old camera system is long gone, hopefully finding good use and care in someone else's more capable hands; in its place has come and gone a line of compacts and prosumer models for casual shooting, none of which i could be content using. however, i'm now getting acquainted with a little ricoh r8 and, i gotta say, i think i'm happy.

maybe that also has something to do with graduating, finally, from my masters program. two years ago, i thought i could just add that to my daily to-do list; but i found out that i had to give up certain things to make room for it. photography, unfortunately, was one of them.

so am i back now? it's hard to say. i want to be, but at the same time, there's this enormous relief, you know the kind that comes at the end of a long journey, which saps all desire to do anything cerebral.

maybe i just need rest. oh well, i'll figure it out as i go along.
